Pork Recipes:
Best Recipes For Cooking Ham, Pork Ribs, Tenderloin, Chops, And Roasts

Welcome to my collection of pork recipes! Everyone in my family likes pork, so we eat it quite regularly.

Pork is easy to cook, versatile, and relatively healthy.

Cut for cut, pork is as lean as any other meat. It has a comparatively low cholesterol content.

I cook pork on the stovetop, in the oven, or in the slow cooker.

Here is the most important tip about cooking pork: Don't overcook it!

I used to think that pork had to be dry and tough in order to be thoroughly cooked. That's not the case! Cooked pork can be moist and tender and even a bit pink. As long as the internal temperature is 160F/71C, the pork is cooked and safe to eat.

Investing in a good meat thermometer is really the only way to tell.

The exception to this is ground pork. Like any ground meat, ground pork - including sausages - must be cooked until well done, with absolutely no pink remaining.

Here are my favorite pork recipes. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Ham

When you are looking for an easy meal, you can't do much better than ham. Buying a fully cooked ham and dressing it up with one of these easy pork recipes is a great solution for a busy cook.

  • It doesn't get much easier than Ham with Easy Maple Glaze - but this attractive entrĂ©e can be the centerpiece of a special meal.

  • For another speedy main course, try Spicy Sweet Baked Ham. The spices and the syrupy juices turn even slices of leftover ham into a real treat!

Pork Chops

Pork chops are a staple in many houses - but you may not know how tasty pork chops can be with the right recipe! I really can't decide which of these three is my favorite; they are all so good!

Pork Roast

If you're wanting some comfort food, there is nothing like a roast. Add some mashed potatoes and some steamed vegetables and you have a Sunday dinner like our grandmothers used to make!

  • Tangy Marinated Pork Roast couldn't be easier. The night before, just mix up the marinade and put it and the roast in a bag in the refrigerator. The next day, just pop the roast in a baking dish and put it in the oven. In a couple of hours you'll be eating a meal that will impress the whole family!

Pork Tenderloin

I used to imagine that pork tenderloin was a difficult and mysterious item to cook, so I never attempted cooking one. As with so many cooking matters, I was completely wrong! With a good recipe, pork tenderloin is very easy - and so good. Here are my favorites.

  • When the weather turns chilly, try this Autumn Pork Medley. Tender pork on a bed of sweet vegetables and apples - what could be better? (It's a complete meal, too!)

  • Here's a classic Marinated Pork Tenderloin recipe that uses just a few ingredients to make a fabulous meal.

Spareribs

I have always loved spareribs. Gooey, savory sauce on tender meat - what's not to love? Imagine my delight when I discovered how easy it is to cook delicious ribs at home! They take a while to cook, but the prep work is quick and easy.
